罢丑别听肠丑补谤颈迟测听is looking for听new trustees听with a background in听charity听governance and a Treasurer鈥痺ith鈥痵trong financial skills and experience.听There are also vacancies on听its听Education鈥疌ommittee, which plans and delivers听a range of educational initiatives, including the鈥痳enowned鈥痑nnual Discussion Forum, and on听its听Grants听Committee, which鈥痑ssesses and听funds听welfare鈥痳esearch projects.听

Animal Welfare Foundation Chair of Trustees Julian Kupfer听said:听鈥淭his is an exciting time to听volunteer at听AWF with its new strategy and鈥痑n听even鈥痗loser working鈥痳elationship鈥痺ith 趣夜app听than ever.鈥疻e鈥檙e听looking for people with the time and听expertise听to help govern and direct the charity and play a key role in its education and research work.听We have鈥痳ecently听restructured how鈥痺e鈥痮perate,鈥痵o as well as looking for new Trustees, we are鈥痮pening鈥痮ur committees to enable more veterinary and welfare professionals to get鈥痬eaningfully鈥痠nvolved.鈥�听

Established in 1983, AWF places animal welfare at the forefront of veterinary knowledge via research,听education听and debate. It supports improvements in animal welfare by funding animal welfare research and education initiatives that consider farmed animals, horses, pets, and wildlife.听听This includes student and graduate education.听Its annual Discussion Forum brings influential people together to explore contested or fast-moving areas of welfare science, ethics, and practice.听听听

Tickets for AWF鈥檚 flagship event, the Discussion Forum 2026,听are now on sale.听听

The event is being held on 11 May 2026 at the Cavendish Conference Centre in London and听has sessions听on topics including rewilding, rehabilitation,听pets听and livestock, with opportunities to network and continue conversations throughout the day.听听听
