First Minister of Wales Rhun ap Iorwerth and Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability Llyr Gruffydd were among the high-profile guests who joined us at 趣夜app鈥檚 annual Welsh Dinner, held last night at Cardiff Castle.
Top of the agenda at the听annual Welsh dinner was long overdue听reform of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 (VSA), with 趣夜app President Rob Williams calling on Senedd Members and Welsh vets to support the听UK Government鈥檚 new White Paper, Our vision for a thriving veterinary sector.听听
Whilst congratulating the first cohort of graduates from听Aberystwyth鈥檚 new Vet School,听Rob set out how legislative reform would change听how听veterinary services听are听delivered听in Wales and the听critical听role it would play in听supporting the future veterinary workforce in听the nation 鈥� urging everyone to get behind the plans.听听
Rob also took the opportunity听to highlight the听importance of collaboration between the Welsh Government and the veterinary profession in Wales, particularly on issues such as biosecurity and disease prevention.听Read Rob鈥檚 speech in full.听听
