This award recognisesÌýan individual who has provided outstanding services to the veterinary profession or animal welfare, commanding international or inter-professional recognition for their work.

They are known for leading important projects or contributing significantly to key initiatives whichÌýmadeÌýa meaningful impact on animal welfare or the veterinary profession.ÌýÌý

Entry criteria:Ìý

  • Noteworthy contributions
    Has made outstanding contributions to the veterinary profession or animal welfare. Evidence should include specific projects, roles and/or initiatives undertaken.Ìý

  • Widespread impactÌý
    Clear evidence of the difference their contribution or service has made to the veterinary profession or animal welfare. For example, specific project successes, examples of inter-professional collaboration, or efforts to improve recognition of the value of veterinary science among wider stakeholders.ÌýÌý

  • Professional respect and recognitionÌýÌý
    Evidence their work is judged as being of a calibre commanding international or inter-professional recognition.ÌýÌý

HowÌýwill this award be judged?Ìý

Nominations require a supporting statement and a list of up to ten most significant contributions or Google Scholar / link, with the option to include a short CV (max 2 pages). Judges will score nominations based on the entry criteria. It is not necessary to evidence all criteria, however this will enable a higher score at judging. Please give as much detail as possible.
