With animal-centred accreditations already benefitting its clients, Westport Veterinary Clinic saw Great Workplaces by Ȥҹapp as a chance to check it was supporting its team, too.
Determined to demonstrate Vets4Pets Bearsden’s investment in team growth and wellbeing, practice manager Gemma Lamont signed up to Great Workplaces by Ȥҹapp. Assessment process completed, and with Silver accreditation achieved, the practice received clear, actionable feedback offering both quick wins and strategic changes to support it in creating an even more positive workplace culture.
Vets for Pets Blackwood in Caerphilly celebrates its Great Workplaces by Ȥҹapp ‘Working Towards’ status as a sign of its commitment to creating an environment where everyone in its 22-strong team feels supported, included and valued.
Successful navigation of the process saw Food Standards Scotland gain Silver accreditation and receive valuable feedback that reaffirmed the value of existing practices. Giving staff a safe and independent platform to voice their concerns also flagged some previously unraised issues, which can now be actively addressed.
For Silver-accredited Burghfield and Goring Veterinary Practice, participating in Great Workplaces by Ȥҹapp was about more than validating its workplace culture – it also offered its employees the chance to share their thoughts openly with someone from outside the practice.
Team culture and business operations have both benefited from The Vet Connection’s (TVC’s) decision to seek Great Workplaces accreditation. Gaining Silver accreditation gave reassurance that the existing culture was strong but the structured feedback provided identified where things could be even better.
Practical outcomes were what the Thrums Vets group wanted when it undertook Great Workplaces accreditation. And that’s exactly what it got. By giving real insight into staff experiences, and suggesting practical steps to further enhance job satisfaction, the accreditation process proved invaluable in creating a more cohesive workforce across Thrums’ four mixed practices and 60 team members.
