Our structure

Nominations and Awards Group

The Nominations and Awards Group (NAG) meets annually to:

  • assess applications for Ȥҹapp committees and make recommendations for endorsement by Council and Board
  • agree proposals for Honorary Associates, Honorary Members, and Life Members for endorsement at the AGM
  • review the shortlist and agree on a preferred candidate for:
  • Ȥҹapp Outstanding Service Award (Chiron Award)
  • Ȥҹapp Animal Health and Welfare Overseas Award (J.Trevor Blackburn Award)


In line with our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy, NAG carries out a blind assessment against a skills matrix for all applications for Ȥҹapp committee vacancies. Vacancies for Policy Committee, Ethics and Welfare Advisory Panel, Members Benefits and Events Committee are advertised annually in June.
